ACCESSIBILITY

Honors Path strives to make the website as accessible and user-friendly for all users, including people with disabilities. Our goal is to provide a good web experience for all visitors. Below you will find some of the technology solutions to make our website easy to navigate and accessible.

Honors Path utilizes two forms of evaluation for accessibility.
  • 1. WAVE Webaim as an evaluation tool for accessibility. Below is a screen shot from the results that pertain to the main sites only.

    Wave Accessibility Tool

  • 2. Google Accessibility. Adds an Accessibility audit, and an Accessibility sidebar pane in the Elements tab, to your Chrome Developer Tools.
    • 17 audit rules; most documented at http://goo.gl/L7gCXu
    • Sidebar pane in Elements tab provides extra debugging information, for example color contrast values and color suggestions, missing required ARIA attributes, reason for lack of visibility, accessible name calculation information, etc.

*NOTE: Certain areas of the inner website have not been fully tested for screen-reader technology and compatibility. These areas are within the advisors, students and/or the professor’s pages after login from the login portal or the email portal.
