Stay Safe and Secure

Whether you are using a browser through a moblie device, laptop or desktop, the first line of defense for any web application starts at the users browser. If you run a web browser that is out-of-date and which contains security vulnerabilities, you risk having your device compromised. Depending on the security exploit, your personal information (including emails and other sensitive information) could be stolen or destroyed.

If your security has been compromised you also run the risk of being used for online crime; or as an unwitting pawn in large scale attacks against other internet users or companies. So even if your personal data is not stolen, if compromised, your device can be turned into a "zombie"; sending out thousands of spam emails per day, or be forced to participate in "denial of service" attacks against other websites; all without you even being aware.

Updating your browser to the latest version does not protect you from all attacks or vulnerabilities, but it does help with the entire process of protecting your information.

Recently, Microsoft announced that they will no longer be supporting Internet versions other than IE11 and Edge. This does not mean that these older browser versions will stop working. While Internet Explorer 11 and Edge are recommended for use with Honors Path, you can continue to use IE9 or IE10. If you experience unexpected errors, blank pages or missing styles, update to Microsoft Edge's latest version.
